Viking Elementary's "Caught Being Good" ticket winners for the month of September were McCoy Nordby, Matthew Stoutenburgh, and Tanner Vedbraaten. These students are being recognized for showing random acts of kindness throughout the month.
Preschool will join Viking Elementary for Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 30th. The Preschool meeting is at 6:30.

The ECFE picnic has been cancelled for tonight due to weather. It will be rescheduled for next Thursday, May 26th at 5:30-7:00 at the Newfolden City Park.
The JO Softball meeting that was scheduled to be outside tonight, Wednesday May 18th will be held in the Newfolden Elementary Cafeteria instead. The times are 8U/9U @ 5:00, 12U @ 5:15, 14U @ 5:30. If you miss the meeting please have your child stop by the office @ their school to pick up information.

Ms. Wagner's First Grade completed a rainbow science experiment last week while learning about St. Patrick's Day.
Viking Elementary students read over 2,000 books during the month of February for "I Love to Read Month!" To celebrate, all students enjoyed a movie in the gym on Friday. Way to go!

There is a long standing rivalry between the Vikings fans on staff and Mr. G. who is a Green Bay fan. Sarah bet Mr. G. the Vikings would win and he held up his end by wearing a Viking Jersey during PE. All in good fun! Skol!!

Viking Elementary's Kindness Crusade winners for the month of October were: Austin Skjerven (Kindergarten), Noah Dilly (First Grade), and Sutton Smith (Second Grade).
Ms. Wagner's first grade class spent some time investigating pumpkins on Tuesday. They measured each pumpkin, and even counted all the seeds!
Viking teachers and staff have been on the lookout for exceptional behavior throughout the school. When a student gets "caught," being good, they are given a ticket. All tickets are collected throughout the month for a grade level drawing. Here are our September winners:

North Valley Public Health is once again promoting "Feelin' Fit and Fine" this summer to encourage healthy behaviors among children. This is a fun contest that offers a chance to win prizes while participating in healthy activities. This contest will start June 7th and is open to children in Marshall County ages 3-12.
