
Viking Elementary received a donation of books, rulers, and pencils from the Marshall County Soybean/Corn Growers Association. We would like to thank Mark Blawat for stopping by to distribute the donation, thank you!


A big thank you to Willie and Catherine Wagner and family for the donation of books to Viking Elementary in memory of Brooks Wagner. This donation was made in efforts to raise awareness about SUDC and to encourage others to help support the SUDC foundation. Thank you Wagner family!

ECFE will be held on Thursday, March 14th at Viking Elementary. We will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day with the theme, "Shamrocks and Leprechauns." There are two sessions (4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.). Come out for some St. Patrick's fun!

We had a great turnout this morning for Donuts for Dads at Viking Elementary! Thank you to all the dads, grandpas, etc. who came out to have a special breakfast with our students!











The Book Fair will be at Viking Elementary next week! It will be open during Parent/Teacher conferences the afternoons of Monday and Wednesday. (2/26 & 2/28). Students will also have an opportunity to shop the book fair with their class during the week. Flyers and more information will be going home with students Thursday! There's been a date change for ECFE's library visit that was originally scheduled for Thursday, February 15th. This will now be the following week (February 22nd) at 5:00 p.m. at the Thief River Falls public library. All children ages birth to 5 years old along with parents are welcome!

ECFE will be held at Viking Elementary on Thursday, February 1st with two sessions: 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. The theme is "Love, Hearts, and Valentines." All children are welcome ages birth to five years old (along with parents). We hope to see you there!


ECFE will be held at the Sanford Wellness Kid Zone in Thief River Falls this Thursday, January 4th. There will be one session at 5:00 p.m. Admission and snack is covered by ECFE. All kids ages birth to five years old (with their parents) are welcome!


Viking Elementary's "Caught Being Good" Winners for the month of December received presents and gift cards that were donated by a special anonymous donor. These students were chosen because they showed random acts of kindness throughout the month that were noticed by teachers and staff. Way to go!





Viking Elementary students grade K-2 did a wonderful job performing for their winter concert last Friday. Thank you to Mrs. Olson and students for all of your hard work!




The Viking Elementary Main Entrance is now officially reopened for public use. The new principal's office is open as well. Sarah is starting to move into her area but will be in the temporary location through this week.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. When dropping off students in the morning, you should use the front entrance. We now have the south entrances locked. They will open for buses but then lock again for the school day.

The K-2 Elementary winter concerts will be held on Friday, December 1st in the Viking School gym. Students should wear dress clothes on the concert day. Kindergarten will begin performing at 1:00, doors will open at 12:45. FIrst and Second Graders will perform together at 1:45, doors will open at 1:30. Our students are working hard to learn their winter music and are looking forward to sharing it with you!


ECFE will be held at Viking Elementary this Thursday (11/9) with 2 sessions at 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. We will be talking about Thanksgiving this week, and the theme is "Give Thanks." All children ages birth to five years old (along with their parents) are welcome!

Viking Elementary Families: If you come to Viking School please use the south entrance. If door is locked, press button on Walkie and say hello. Sarah will let you in.
Due to some additional construction needs, the main entrance is closed through at least next week. We'll send out an alert to let you know when the main entrance can be used again.
