Mrs. Converse and Ms. Stromsodt's kindergarten classes had a visit from Smokey the Bear this week at Viking Elementary! The kids learned all about fire safety. Thank you to Smokey and team for coming!, we had a blast!
ECFE will have one session on Wednesday night from 5:00 to 6:00 at Viking Elementary. We are learning all about Fire Safety this week, and we will even have some local firefighters visiting! All children ages birth to five years old along with their families are welcome!

Mrs. Boen and Ms. Wagner's first graders enjoyed watching the life cycle of a caterpillar as it turned into a butterfly. The class was able to observe each stage in the classroom, and then released the butterflies outside. It was a fun learning experience for all!

ECFE Announcement:
- We are cancelling tonights Touch a Truck Event due to rainy weather.
The calendar is too full for us to find an opportunity to reschedule this year.
The last ECFE event is our Picnic/Potluck at the Newfolden City Park on May 23 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
Preschool and Head Start registration is scheduled for this Wednesday, May 1st from 3:30-6:30 at Viking Elementary. Paperwork has been sent in the mail. If you have any questions, please call Viking school at 218-523-4425. Thank you!
The K-2 elementary spring concerts will be held May 3rd in the Viking gym. Students should wear dress clothes on the concert day. The kindergarten will begin performing at 1:00, doors will open at 12:45. First and second graders will perform together at 1:45, doors open at 1:30. Students are working hard to learn their spring music and are looking forward to sharing it with you!
Preschool graduation will be on Thursday, May 16th at 1:45 p.m. It will be held in the gymnasium at Viking Elementary.
ECFE will be held on Thursday, April 18th at Viking School. The theme is, "Colors All Around." There will be two sessions once again (4:30 and 6:00 p.m.). This is for all children ages birth to Preschool (and parents too). We hope to see you there!
