Mrs. Peterson's PE classes took advantage of a beautiful Fall day in our beautiful small town and moved their bodies yesterday.

The baseball game for tonight, Tuesday May 31st has been postponed due to the rain - we will keep you posted when it has been rescheduled.

The Northern Freeze Playoff Baseball game will be played at Karlstad today, Tuesday, May 31st game time starting at 4:00pm. #gofreeze

Agility Camp: June 14-July 26th T and TH 6:00-7:00 am (Monday and Tuesday 7/25 and 7/26 are last two days)

Boy's Basketball: Practice is on Thursdays: 6/2 and 6/9 from 6:30 - 8:00 am; 6/16-7/14 7:30-9:00
Football: Wednesday Nights at 7:00 pm starting 6/1
Girl's Basketball: First Practice Wednesday 6/8 5-7 pm at TC, the rest are on Tuesday's from 9:00-10:30 am in TC starting June 14th


End of the Year Banquet for Northern Freeze Softball will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at 6pm at the Newfolden Elementary Cafeteria. 7/8th grade: Main Dish 9th: Dessert, 10th: Side Dish, 11th: Tear down, 12th: Set up. All are welcome!


UPDATE: The softball game for today, Thursday May 19th has been postponed until tomorrow, Friday May 20th. Same times (4:00 & 6:00) at the MEC in TRF. There will be NO practice today for ALL levels


UPDATE: The baseball game versus BGMR for today will be a varsity-only game starting at 1:00 pm in Karlstad.


The JO Softball meeting that was scheduled to be outside tonight, Wednesday May 18th will be held in the Newfolden Elementary Cafeteria instead. The times are 8U/9U @ 5:00, 12U @ 5:15, 14U @ 5:30. If you miss the meeting please have your child stop by the office @ their school to pick up information.

On Tuesday, May 10th, MCC's National Honor Society members spent the afternoon with the Newfolden area senior citizens, playing board games, table-top cornhole/bean bags (which was more difficult than it would seem!), and even Wii bowling! Who says an old (or young!) dog can't learn new tricks?
Fun was had by all, and it was determined that we need to get together more often next year. Thank you to the senior citizens for such a fun afternoon!

Textile Arts students went to Oklee to check out the Oklee Quilting Supply. Their owner Toni gave us a demonstration of how to quilt on senior Reese Rustad’s final Textile Project!





Last week 3 ninth graders competed in a day-long Envirothon competition. They gave a presentation on producing a sustainable music festival and tested their knowledge on soils, aquatics, wildlife, forestry, and sustainable practices. Great job!

Shop 7 students built paper towers this week. Each tower was assembled from 4 sheets of paper and 30" of tape. Jake and Kelby's tower held 100 books a total of 309#





The softball tournament that was scheduled in Greenbush for Saturday, April 30th has been canceled.
