Congratulations to our March Staff of the Month: Adam Lokstad. What is your position at MCC and how long have you been working here? Transportation Supervisor since 2/27/2017 & Bus driver since December of 2009. 1998 graduate. What is one of your hidden talents? I don't always understand women, but having five sisters gives me a head start. What is your dream vacation? Coast to Coast train ride with my family and our own living area, multiple stops along the way. If you won the lottery and decided to give up working for the school, what would you do instead? Farm, but still drive a bus! You're lucky to drive some of those kids around, and lucky when some don't ride! What is your favorite meal from the cafeteria? Orange Chicken, Tater tot hotdish. And always with chocolate milk. What makes a good day at school? A beautiful spring day, all of the bus garage doors are open, hearing the kids play in the playground. If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share? If you are not sure what you want to do with your life, find a way to see the world a bit and maybe you will find out. Maybe it is right where you started? What is your favorite memory from when you were in school?
Pulling pranks on Mr. Pederson in his classroom. We did find out how far we
could go, but Mr P was always cool about it. Also, my 1st grade teacher had a
decorated box that looked like a gift on her desk. For a long time we would ask what
was in the box and she would say, “Something special.” Finally, when we each got to
look inside, it was a mirror, and written on it was, “You are special!”. What is your favorite t.v. show and why? The Office. The general office life humor cracks me up! “I'm always thinking one step ahead,... like a carpenter that makes stairs.” ~Andy - Congratulations Adam!

Marshall County Central ExCEL Award Winner: Ellie Underdahl
Ellie Underdahl was selected to represent MCC for the Minnesota State High School League ExCEL award. The ExCEL Award – Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership – is a unique recognition program designed exclusively for Minnesota high school juniors who are active in school activities, leaders in their schools, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service.
