Dance will be on Friday, January 31st in the New Gym at the High school for grades 7-12. Cost for the dance is $5 each. Dance is from 9-12 p.m.. Parents please pick up your students by the new gym door between 11:50 - 12:00 p.m. . Concessions will be available for purchase as well.


The Robotics competition for tomorrow (1/18) in Bemidji has been cancelled.


Today we had the best of the best spellers compete in our 2025 Marshall County Central School District Spelling Bee. Participants:

We has an amazing competition today. We made it to 14 rounds! The students all had a blast and got recognized for all the amazing work they did to get this far. We have your Spelling Bee Champion; Elly LeClaire. First runner up goes to Mason Woodruff.

Grady Hockstedler became the school leader in the bench press today lifting 265 lbs.
He surpassed his brother Gage who previously held the record at 255 lbs.
Grady has the distinction of being strong and fast. He also holds the school 100 Meter Dash record at 11.1 seconds.
Way to go Grady!!

Reminder to 5-12 Grade Students - Yearbook Group pictures are tomorrow morning - band, choir, robotics, riverwatch, trap, student council, drones, eSports, Go Freeze Club, knowledge bowl. Dress up, bring any shirts, jerseys, hoodies for those groups.

The MCC Student Council and the MCC Chamber Choir, under the Direction of Mr. Michael Thompson, hosted the annual Senior Holiday Tea at the Newfolden Community Center on Monday, December 16th. The student council served cookies, coffee, and hot apple cider while the Chamber Choir performed a variety of Christmas songs. It was a fun afternoon that was enjoyed by all!




MCC National Honor Society Members spent the early out today playing cards and games with the senior citizens at the Newfolden Community Center. Everyone had a fun afternoon!






Congratulations to 5450 Z: Beau Nelson, Jade Baker, Logan Trevis, and Jesse Martinson for earning the All Around Champion and the Teamwork Champion trophies at the Drone Competition in Thief River Falls on Wednesday, December 11th.

SPORTS/ ACTIVITIES INVOLVED IN: Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Shoot Trap. I play on the Middle River Renegades Baseball team during the summer.
Why Nominated: Sawyer is a respectful young man who I see as a steady presence in the school. He handles himself well in the school setting and within his peer group. Most kids know right from wrong, but Sawyer demonstrates both the knowledge and the application of that characteristic. He is friendly, outgoing, and gets along with everyone.
