Today in Ms. Hestekind's class 7th grade had a paper chain challenge where they had to see who could make the longest paper chain. 8th grade had the challenge to stack cups using string and a rubber band. It all took TEAMWORK!!

We had a special moment today at school. A package from Charger Football arrived for David Schoon and our football team. The Grygla-Goodridge Chargers sent a special engraved plaque to honor David's big touchdown at the Charger-Freeze Football game.
Freeze football players joined in to watch David open the special gift!
We are very lucky in these small towns to share a special camaraderie that transcends competition. Friendships and special moments start from small things and grow!
Thank you to everyone involved to make that day special for a very special student here. It helps our communities grow together when people share some love for the games and life in these special ways!

The MCC student body & staff raised $998 and donated non perishable goods for the area Food Shelf in Strandquist, MN. The effort was organized by the Student Council and NHS organizations at MCC. The student body competed in Penny Wars, class against class. If students put paper money or pennies into a jar, that counted positively toward their total. If they had any silver in their jar, that counted negatively. The 8th Grade Class won the Penny Wars, resulting in a Pizza Party for their entire class.
