MCC Families, We begin our MCA tests this week. You can help us by ensuring students get good rest, get a healthy breakfast, and encouraging your child to do their best. If you have a 7-11 student, please ensure they fully charge their Chromebook. Testing week can add to stress in our children and we want to minimize that! We simply emphasize that we want our students take the test one question at a time and give it their best effort. Each and every day we provide quality academics and opportunities to help build well rounded students ready for their next adventure when they graduate. We have students with many talents! Test scores are an important measurement but do not define the big picture for us and they certainly do not define each individual. Help us encourage your children. Give them a hug or high 5 on the way out the door each morning and tell them "You got this!" For complete MCA Schedule: https://bit.ly/42JvDV2

Last Friday we were notified that the Hartz Warehouse in TRF had a fire inside. We store bus 13 in the warehouse. Greg Hestekind our driver was able to remove the bus. The bus was covered in smoke residue inside and out. Kilen's cleaners in TRF is cleaning the bus. Insurance from the building owners is covering costs of cleaning. We are thankful no one was hurt and cleaning is going well so far. The last picture shows you the cleaned vs. not cleaned part of bus.

It’s School Social Worker Week! At MCC, we are fortunate to have two incredible social workers — Laura Underdahl and Jeri Nomeland. They provide vital support to our students, staff, and families every day. From social-emotional learning and mental health to managing behavior, building friendships, suicide prevention, and helping students make positive choices — they make a difference in so many ways. Thank you, Laura and Jeri, for all you do for the MCC Community!

School Social Worker Week!
This week we celebrate Public Schools Week. Public schools in Minnesota form the foundation of our communities and society. As a school leader, I value public participation in our schools and the essential role it plays in student success. This week, all three of our buildings hosted parent-teacher conferences. It was great to see parents and teachers working together, discussing student progress, and partnering to support our students. Thank you to our parents and teachers for your commitment and care. Across all three buildings, we appreciate the support of our community. Your investment in our schools and your interest in our programs and operations make a difference. This year, we continue to fully utilize our new spaces, which expand opportunities for student learning and extracurricular activities that shape the next generation. Thank you, MCC community, for standing with us and supporting our schools. We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of staff members who commit their time and talents to serving our students and community. They guide our students in developing strong citizenship, mastering essential skills, and preparing for their future goals. Thank you to our support staff for the care and guidance you provide every day. I also want to recognize our school board members for their leadership and dedication. They serve as the voice of the public, oversee policies, maintain our strategic goals, listen to community feedback, and make important decisions that shape the future of our district. Thank you, Mindy, Patti, Melissa, Andy, Craig, Kayla, and Ashley, for your service and leadership.
